Minister of Health Seeks Urgent Support Amidst Numerous Challenges

Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, has called for extensive support to address the significant issues plaguing the Ministry of Health. In a recent meeting with the executive members of the Philani MaSwati Charity Organisation, the minister emphasized the need for divine intervention to overcome these challenges.

Minister Matsebula, who also serves as a Member of Parliament for the Siphocosini Constituency, highlighted the pressing issues within the ministry, including drug shortages, staff deficiencies, and deteriorating infrastructure. During the visit at his office in Mbabane, Philani MaSwati executives responded by praying for the minister, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

Urgent Needs in the Health Sector

“I need all the support that I can get as a minister,” stated Matsebula. “Many emaSwati cannot afford hospital costs, and we are facing severe drug shortages. Upon taking office, I found a critical shortage of staff and dilapidated structures.”

Commitment to Elderly Care

The organization’s mission is to offer comfort, companionship, and critical assistance to older individuals. The expansion will ensure more elderly citizens have access to essential services tailored to their specific needs. Dlamini’s commitment to realizing the King’s vision underscores the organization’s dedication to community service and elder care.

Future Prospects and Government Support

The establishment of Philani Centers in various regions is anticipated to significantly impact elderly citizens’ quality of life. The expansion reflects Philani Maswati’s steadfast commitment to enhancing elderly care and promoting a culture of respect and support for older members of society.

Dlamini also urged the minister to facilitate the organization’s receipt of a government subvention, recalling a previous E300,000 subvention received a decade ago.
